Many Japanese sushi bars present food to their guests in an innovative way. This inspired Pieter Koning, co-founder of Pre-Motion, to use movement to make products stand out. His starting point: what happens when you replace sushi with another product? In early 2005, Pre-Motion rented their first bar with conveyor belt to a catering company at the Amsterdam RAI trade-fair. The dishes going round worked like a magnet on the crowd and attracted a lot of attention. Together with business partner and commercial director Heimen Quik, Pre-Motion has been translating requests from the market to new presentation concepts for over 12 years. Display conveyors as well as turntables are now our company’s core business. Movement is used not only to make a product stand out; movement is also used as a smart tool to create 360° product presentations for the internet.
